Scope: SOCOTEC carries out work at around 200 locations.
Summary of the Project
Amarant manages 500 locations, where 5,500 FTEs work. Amarant asked SOCOTEC to carry out work at around 200 locations and to supply safe drinking water that complies with all the legislation and regulations. The aim is to completely handle everything relating to Legionella for Amarant, both proactively and reactively.

The following work fell within the scope of the assignment:
- Consultancy & project support :
- prevention & control: keeping risk analyses and mitigation control plans of buildings up to date, assessing the results of samples of measurement programmes in case of anomalies
- project support: support and inspection of the installer during the execution of the work, suggesting technical improvements, carrying out investigations to trace the source, drawing up an action plan
- Control and prevention work, including:
- carrying out all sampling, in accordance with the applicable legislation and regulations and the client’s wishes
- maintenance and sampling of the copper/silver installations
- annual inspection of the proper functioning of the non-return valves
- checking the temperature and safety settings of the water supply points and devices every year
- annual calibration of the Bluetooth thermometers
- installation and replacement of Legionella-safe shower heads
- making changes to the installation on demand
With this assignment, Amarant has entered into a three-year agreement with SOCOTEC that commenced on 1 January 2023. Amarant has the option of renewing the agreement after this initial period.
