Is your building free of Legionella? You can only be sure if you have your water tested periodically. We will test your water for Legionella and other micro-organisms.

For priority installations, water samples have to be taken every six months to check whether or not the standards with regard to Legionella are being exceeded. SOCOTEC can do this for you. Is your building free of Legionella?

You can only be sure if you have your water tested periodically. Every year, SOCOTEC takes over 15.000 water samples to test for Legionella. Legionella is not the only bacteria that can be present in water.

We also check for other micro-organisms. Are you concerned about your water quality? Our certified inspectors will come to your location to take water samples that will be analysed in our own lab. In this way we can react fast.

Non-return Valve Inspections

Various appendages are installed in a water supply system to prevent contaminated water from flowing back and guarantee that the installation works safely. Non-return protections such as controllable non-return valves, aerators, interrupters and atmospheric interrupters have to be inspected every year. SOCOTEC’s inspectors can conduct these inspections for you.

Temperature measurements

Temperature measurements are an excellent way to quickly determine the risk of Legionella growth. Temperatures over 25 °C and under 60 °C indicate that there is an increased risk of Legionella growth. Temperature measurements are included in the Legionella management plan. The temperature is monitored with these periodical measurements so that action can be taken where necessary. We can also carry out periodical and continuous temperature measurements for you, both manually and by placing automatic temperature sensors.

Water Worksheet 1.4G

As stipulated in the Building Code, the Drinking Water Decree and the connection conditions of water companies in the Netherlands, drinking water installations must comply with NEN 1006 "General requirements for water supply installations". To achieve proper standardisation of the execution of drinking water installations, the water worksheets describe the stipulations of the standard in general terms. The stipulations in the water worksheets must be seen as the standard conditions that a drinking water installation must meet to comply with NEN 1006.

Water worksheet 1.4G concerns the management of water supply installations. Management means all of the activities that are required to guarantee that the functions of the water supply installations continue to meet the relevant requirements and standards set. SOCOTEC can carry out and document the total management of your water supply installation for you.
