SOCOTEC conducted the geotechnical survey and the geotechnical consultancy for the foundations and construction pit. The survey consisted of CPTs up to 50 m under the ground surface level and drilling down to 19 m under the ground surface level. 

Project description 

The area opposite the Johan Cruijff Arena is being transformed into a dense urban area where living, working and leisure converge. The project consists of the new construction of 4 high-rise buildings with a maximum height of 150 m (48 storeys) and a 25,000 m² underground car park. In addition to 410 social housing units for students, 540 rental units and an estimated 30,000 square metres for offices, the site will also house a theatre, an hotel and several restaurants.
