Talk to our experts
SOCOTEC Geotechnics carried out the entire geotechnical work for the project on behalf of SDK Vastgoed as well as Stam en de Koning Bouw from 2017 to 2024. The work involved conducting geotechnical field and laboratory investigations to providing geotechnical advice for the design of the excavation and foundation. Finally, SOCOTEC Geotechnics also carried out monitoring activities during the construction of the basement.
What is remarkable about the project is the size of the basement in relation to its location. The project is located in the center of Eindhoven, and the basement is surrounded by various monumental buildings. One of the goals of our work was to realize the new construction with minimal geotechnical impact on the surroundings.
