SOCOTEC was commissioned by Mourik to carry out continuous monitoring (X-Y-Z coordinates, tachymeter) during the period that excavation was carried out to expose a water mains and then a yoke construction was used to suspend it whilst a bicycle tunnel was excavated on Het Klooster industrial estate in Nieuwegein.
Description of the project
Mourik Groot Ammers B.V. has been commissioned by Nieuwegein town council to carry out major work on the infrastructure within the framework of creating better access to Het Klooster industrial estate in Nieuwegein. Part of this improvement is to construct a bicycle tunnel on the industrial estate.
An existing main water transmission line (Vitens) has to be crossed.
